The
Eighth District Dental Society is a professional association,
consisting of dentists from the eight counties of Western
New York; that is, the counties of Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua,
Allegany, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, Genesee and Orleans. There
are currently over 1,000 active members in the Society.
The Dental Society is organized for the purpose of encouraging
improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art
and science of dentistry, and to represent the interests of
the members of the profession and the public which it serves.
The Dental Society is governed by an Executive Council made
up of 45 members. The Eighth District Dental Society is a
component district of the New York Dental Association and the
American Dental Association.
The Dental Society has a three-person staff, consisting of
an Executive Director, an Secretary/Receptionist, and an Office/
Accounts Manager.
The Dental Society provides a comprehensive offering of
member benefits, through the Eighth District Service Corporation.
In addition, the Dental Society provides a membership communications
program, a grievance procedure and a continuing education
program.
